This category recognises organisations that have successfully used customer insight in an innovative way to improve customer experience. This includes projects that use analytics and data-driven approaches to gain insight into customer patterns and behaviours and build models to help improve service for customers.

ANALYTICS INNOVATION AWARD

Recognising achievement in the use of a progressive, analytics-based approach to solve a business challenge or seize an opportunity. This innovative approach can be organisational, team or technique based that has analytics at its core.

Award Criteria:

  • Description of Challenge/Opportunity
  • Innovative Business Solution
  • Detail on Analytics-Based Approach
  • Performance Outcome/ Results

IMPLEMENTATION OF AI AWARD

Artificial Intelligence has proven itself in successfully improving business outcome. This award recognises an organisation that has implemented comprehensive and effective AI solutions to improve their performance.

  • Description of AI Solution
  • Measurement of Success

BUSINESS VALUE AWARD

This award recognises achievement in an organisations adoption of data and analytics to boost business outcomes and demonstrate how analytics has added real business value for an organisation.

Award Criteria:

  • Describe the Journey of Analytics within the Organisation
  • Challenges Faced Before Adoption of Analytics
  • Describe Analytics Approach Adopted
  • Demonstrate the Value Add that Analytics has Provided
  • Any Future Planned Developments in Analytics to Further Boost Business Value

PUBLIC SECTOR ANALYTICS PROJECT AWARD

Recognising excellence in analytics within the Public Sector and the contribution analytics makes to Irish life and society. This award category focuses on analytics projects that have helped transform or progress functions within state, semi state or local government organisations in the interest of public life.

The impact on Irish life and society can stem from new analytical technology itself or from the innovative ways analytics is being leveraged.

EMERGING TECH PRODUCT AWARD

Applying analytics technology to augment, improve, or automate human decision-making for better business and customer outcomes. This award recognises an organisation that has advanced, initiated, or progressed a new technology in areas such as IOT, Machine Learning or RPA.

Award Criteria:

  • Background of initiative
  • Demonstrate that this Emerging Tech Product is the first, or one of few such initiatives, for the technology, industry or markets for which it is targeted
  • Demonstrate how this initiative has had a positive market impact
  • Demonstrate how this initiative evolves the Analytics Industry

BEST DIVERSITY IN ANALYTICS PROGRAMME AWARD

Any initiative (recruitment programme, outreach, conference, special interest group, etc) that has at its heart the goal of expanding the diverse profile of practitioners in the data and analytics industry.

This category seeks to recognise initiatives that enhance the diverse environment of workplaces in analytics and foster inclusion for all staff. The Diversity in Analytics Programme Award is about ensuring that the workplace environment is one in which staff are valued for their many differences and are not excluded because of them.

  • Impact on the Team/ Individuals

ANALYTICS TEAM OF THE YEAR AWARD

We will recognise the impact that teamwork has on performance, focusing on team organisation, clear definition of roles, allocation of tasks, generation and sharing of ideas, team motivation, a culture of support, open communications, problem solving and measurement methods.

The criteria for this award will look for the entrant to use some or all of the initiatives above to demonstrate how teamwork has had a positive impact on progressing the analytics function within their organisation and meeting with organisational goals.

ANALYTICS LEADER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Individuals who have provided leadership both to the data and analytics team and also within their organisation by giving the practice of analytics visibility, status, credibility and sustainability.

An individual cannot nominate themselves in this category. They must be nominated by their team, a team member, their manager or a credible third party that has had direct experience working with the

Award Criteria:

  • Name of individual being nominated & name of person who has nominated them
  • Description of Analytics Function and Org Structure
  • The Role of the Leader for this Function
  • Initiatives undertaken to establish Analytics within the Organisation and how has the function been made visible and credible
  • Evidence of strong leadership qualities
  • Internal team feedback

ANALYTICS PRACTITIONER OF THE YEAR AWARD

This award celebrates the success of Ireland’s top Analytics Practitioner and acknowledges their individual achievements in this industry.

An individual cannot nominate themselves in this category. They must be nominated by their team, a team member, their manager or a credible third party that has had direct experience working with them.

Award Criteria:

  • Name of individual being nominated & name of person who has nominated them
  • Evidence of life long learning
  • Demonstrate evidence of track record of success in utilising analytics
  • Evidence of commitment and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrate professional achievements and contribution in the area of Analytics
  • Excellence achieved, but not limited to, any of the following areas:

  • Creativity and innovation
  • Customer Focus
  • Technical Ability
  • Project Management

FELLOWSHIP OF THE INSTITUTE AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE SECTOR

The Fellowship Award has been created by the Analytics Institute to provide our profession with a means of recognising the achievements of an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Analytics Industry in Ireland and has been a champion for the sector over a period of time.

The Judging Committee will be given the autonomy to decide for this category only.

The winner of the Fellowship Award will become a Fellow of the Analytics Institute of Ireland and will receive a prestigious diploma to certify their status in recognition of their achievements. They will also have a lifetime honorary professional membership of the Analytics Institute.
